Munibhai Mehta (M.H. Mehta)
is a distinguished figure known for his multifaceted contributions. He
currently serves as the Chairman of the National Working Group of Eco
Agriculture at ICFA, Chairman of The Science Ashram, and Chairman of Gujarat
Life Sciences. He also served as the Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Agricultural
University (GAU). Dr Mehta has gained recognition for his exemplary leadership
in spearheading the Eco Agri Revolution across Asian and African countries. He
has played pivotal roles as the founder of several world-class institutions,
industrial establishments, and NGOs such as The Science Ashram, Gujarat Life
Sciences, GSFC Science Foundation, Gujarat Green Revolution Co., National Bio
Shield Society, and the Vishwamitri River Revival Project. Dr Mehta has been honored with numerous awards and accolades,
including the Padma Shri, Millennium Leader of Asia Award, and recognition from
esteemed institutions like Cornell University (USA), Royal Institute
(Stockholm), Beijing University, and the Indian Science Congress. His renowned
20:20 model for Eco Agriculture is increasingly acclaimed as a practical and
fitting approach for the forthcoming Eco Agri Revolution and efficient water
management strategies. Dr Mehta’s pioneering work includes the development of
biofertilizers and biopesticides, along with launching several impactful
initiatives His other interests are sports, poetry and music. He also plays
Kastha Tarang – a rare Indian instrument.
