About the Book

Polygamy and purdah have been two influential institutions in the history of Rajasthan. The present work examines both these institutions in the context of Rajputs royal households of Rajasthan. Its main aim is to study the role of women in the making of the political, social and cultural history of Rajasthan during the expansion, consolidation and decline of Rajput power.
