About the Author / Editor

Dugan Laird was a pioneer in the field of training and human resource development. Recipient of numerous awards and honors, he was author of several books, including Writing for Results. He died in 1984.

Sharon S. Naquin, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of the Public Management Program and Director of the Office of HRD Research at the School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development at Louisiana State University. Co-author of several books and numerous articles, she lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Elwood F. Holton Ed.D., is the Jones S. Davis Professor of Human Resource, Leadership and Organization Development at Louisiana State University. Author of eighteen books, he is editor of “Human Resource Development Review” and has published widely in such journals as “Advances In Developing Human Resources, Human Resource Development Quarterly and Human Resource Development International.” He lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
